Privacy Policy

What this extension does

Qbank Timer Trainer is a Chrome extension that automatically starts a countdown timer when a new question loads on browser-based Qbank platforms. It helps medical students and exam candidates practice answering questions within a set time limit.

Data we collect

None. This extension does not collect any personal information, including:

• No names, emails, or identifiers
• No browsing history or visited URLs
• No question content or answer selections
• No health, financial, or communications data
• No location or device information

Local storage only

The extension uses chrome.storage.sync exclusively to save your preferred timer duration (for example: 90, 120, or 180 seconds). This preference is stored in your own Google account's sync storage and is never transmitted to any external server. We have no access to it.

No third-party sharing

We do not sell, rent, share, or transfer any data to third parties. There are no analytics scripts, tracking pixels, or external network requests of any kind in this extension.

Permissions explained

• Host access (uworld.com, uwsa.com) — required to detect when a new question loads so the timer can reset automatically. The extension only reads visible text (the question number) and does not modify or transmit page content.
• storage — used only to save your timer duration preference locally.

Children's privacy

This extension is intended for medical students and adult learners. It does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy, we will update the date above and post the new version at this URL. We will never introduce data collection without updating this policy and the extension's store listing.
